What is Hamaspik?

Hamaspik is a network of independent agencies that provide health and human services for people with disabilities of all ages and their families.

Where is Hamaspik?

Hamaspik programs and services are available in the Greater New York City area, including the five Boroughs of New York, and the Long Island, Hudson Valley and Catskill regions.

The many Hamaspik offices and program centers are located in Monsey (Rockland), Monroe (Orange), Williamsburg and Borough Park (NYC).

Who is Eligible? 

Depending on the nature of the program or service, help may be served for young children with developmental disabilities, as well as for senior citizens who need help at home. Hamaspik will provide the best help possible.

What Services does Hamaspik Provide?

Hamaspik is ready with a wide variety of services to address any needs, whether the consumer is living at home, with a family care provider, or in a community setting.

Who may contact Hamaspik to apply for services?

Any eligible person, family or designated advocate may call to apply for services.

Will Hamaspik let me know what benefits or programs my child can receive?

Hamaspik will let you know all the services available. Once you are approved by the various state agency and you get a Service Coordinator, the SC will walk you through the entire process and will work with you to get all benefits and programs that you are eligible to receive.

Will the Hamaspik Service Coordinator be able to represent me at meetings, interviews, etc.

With your written consent , the Service Coordinator will be able to represent you at meetings and interviews.

Regarding the article in The Rockland Times (July 28 ’16), what is Hamaspik’s employment policy?

Hamaspik operates as an equal opportunity organization that maintains an extensive policy against discrimination. Indeed, Hamaspik has a specific anti-discrimination policy which states: “Hamaspik shall not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, citizenship, disability or any other basis of discrimination prohibited by applicable local, state, or federal law.

Furthermore, the 2 individuals named in the Rockland County Times article have never been hired, trained, or employed by Hamaspik of Orange County for the abovementioned case, nor has Accucare been hired by Hamaspik of Orange County for this case.
